Show NEW HOTEL FORMILFORD Mrs. George Atkin, who for so many years has been proprietor and manager of the Atkin Hotel is having hav-ing plans uiade for a new hotel to he built on the lot just to the south of the present hotel. Architect J. A. Grundfor of Salt Lake came down Sunday evening and spent Monday in going over the details with Mrs. Atkin and the prospective tenants, who will occupy the two large store rooms on the ground floor. The architect ar-chitect "is now busy preparing the plans and Mrs. Atkin will go up to 'Salt Lake Saturday to complete the agreements. The building will be financed by a well known firm of Salt Lake capitalists, capi-talists, who have unlimited faith In the future of Milford. The plans are for a fifty foot front two story reinforced concrete building, build-ing, containing two large store rooms one of which will he occupied by Earl Lynch and his Kit-Kat Kandy korner; the other room has been spoken for and will be occupied by a first class store, announcement of which will made later. There will he about, forty rooms on the second floor, all provided with steam heat, hot and cold water and furnished in the best of style. The plans further provide for the remodeling of the present hotel to conform to the style of the new build Ing. The room now occupied by Lynch and the present dining room and kitchen have been leased by a thorough thor-ough up-to-date restaurant man and will be conducted as a first class cafe The same capitalists who arefl-naneing arefl-naneing the deal are contemplating financing the construction of a new garage to be built on the lot to tho south of the new hotel building. |
