Show REAVER CROP GOOD, SAY'S J. P. TOLTOX J. F. Tolton of Beaver, speaker in the house of representatives, is at the Newhouse hotel and says that the crops in the western and southwestern south-western parts of the state are in better condition at this time than they have ever been at this period of the year. The lack of rain during the present summer, he says, may damage the ranges so that the winter win-ter ranges for sheep and cattle may be short during the early months of the winter season. Mr. Tolton asserts that in Beaver county during the past thirty days the increase in the number of sheep which have been brought into the county from Nevada Neva-da is greater than in the past decade. dec-ade. The sheepmen are replenishing their flocks owing to the losses which were sustained during the. past winter. win-ter. Mr. Tolton declares that the mining min-ing industry in Beaver county will become the chief industry of that county if the development there is the same during the coming year as it has been during the past year. He says that the great number of mining min-ing claims being developed in that county presages a mining boom" there. Tribune. |
