Show 14th NA1I0NAL FRENCHHOLIDAY UTAH TO CELEBRATE WITH FRENCH ALLIES July 14th is the national holiday of France. In these stirring times when the destinies of France and this country are so closely interwoven inter-woven it is right and proper that a tribute be paid to France by the people peo-ple of the United States and Jhat wc voice our determination to support France until peace shall have been achieved by victory. In accordance with a request from the Committee on Allied Tribute to France, of which Wm. H. Taft ;s , honorary chairman, the State of I'tah Council of Defense through it publicity pub-licity committee requests that (1) The attention of the different churches within our state be called to the spiritual solidarity of this country with France; to our debt to France; to the inspiration of France's heroism, and to the significance to us of our dead, now and to come, which will always remain a bond of union between the two republics. (2) Flags be displayed. (3) Libraries arrange for exhibits of all things pertaining to France and the war. We need not remind you that the supreme hour of the war is at hand, and that after four vears of sacrifices and patience, the French people are still facing the need of new sacrifices that civilization may continue free and unafraid. Tq make this demonstration demon-stration a truly national one that . will go over to those who are fighting fight-ing for us on the other side, is the very least that we can do. W. C. Ebaugh. Sec.
