Show MAGNOLIA NOW NEARS OBJECTIVE Milford Magnolia Mines company is nearing the intersection of two ore-bearing veins, and at this juncture junc-ture a larger body of ore1 is expected, expec-ted, reports President R. B. Graff, who was here a few days ago. The shaft is now down 160 feet. At 135 , feet depth a vein 12 feet wide was ! cut bearing lead and silver values. Samples carried up to 50 per cent lead. 3 0 to 3 5 ounces silver and as much as 35 per cent iron. Mr. Graff was accompanied on the trip by an engineer from Chicago, who is said to he much pleased with.. the favorable favor-able outlook. It is the purpose of the management manage-ment to continue sinking to the 200 level, where stopping on the ore will he taken up. About a car load of high-grade ore in now accumulated from the development work.. Just north of the Magnolia is the Commonwealth, where a strike of rich ore has heen made, at a. depth of probably 150 to 200 feet. The ore is about 4 feet wide and sampled sam-pled 50 per cent lead, 40 ounces silver sil-ver and 15 per cent copper, according accord-ing to this report. The Moscow and Red Warrior are north of the Magnolia. Mag-nolia. The Magnolia is equipped with a 2 5-horsepower engine, compressor, hoist and air drills to do modern work. In sinking the men have heen averaging five feet every three days. |
