Show TO REMAIN AT SARANAC LAKE Wishes of Two Hundred Tubercular Patients at Sanitarium Are to Be Complied With. .Two hundred former service men, tubercular patients at Saranae Lake, will remain In the sanitarium there according to their wishes and will not be transferred to other government institutions as originally ordered, as the result of decisive action by the American Legion. An instant protest was registered by the ailing veterans when the order for their transfer .came and Richard T. Bell, chief of the service division of the New York state department, who had visited the men at Saranae a short while before, took up their case with the United States public health service. At the same time John T. Taylor, chairman of the national legislation leg-islation committee of the American Legion, took similar action and the transfer order was rescinded. |
