Show FROM AN OLD-TIMER We received a letter this week from one who might - be called an "old-timer" in this vicinity. We print part of it, thinking perhaps some one who knew the writer might like to learn of his whereabouts: "Was in Shauntie, near your town, when it was in its bloom, and when Frisco was coming into existence. Knew all of the old boys there of that day, who are now, I suppose, prospecting in some other plane or life. But why not grow young here as well as elsewhere? Since those days up to one year ago have been far away. Was in the court house at Beaver and heard the trial of John D. Lee. Matt. Cullen was on the grand jury that indicted him. Often recall those days of my life. "James A. Reed, "Box 134, Castle Gate, Utah." |
