The first one was ; el3ced president at a Lions meet-! ling', the second first vice-presi-1 uent and the third second vice-' president. Other officers elected ' were Al Cline, for treasurer, Myron My-ron Lewis for secretary. M. H.; Pool, lion tamer; Dutch Rusch-! mier, tail twister; H. C. Hunter, I A. A. Hillary, C. R. Parrish and1 K. S. Carlton for directors. j Election of officers had been held by the I. 0. 0. F. lodge. The ; new officers were: Henry Jen-1 nings, noble grand; Roy Coleman,' secretary; O. F. Hubbell, treas-. urer; Morgan Griffiths, trustee. 'Mrs. Karl Levi had been hostess host-ess to the Old Friends club. "500" was enjoyed with Mrs. William Fernley and Mrs. Hattie Tanner receiving the prizes. Others present pre-sent were Mrs. Fred Levi, Mrs. Anrone Johnson, Mrs. George Ransom, Mrs. Roy White, Mrs. Abe Fotheringham and Mrs. Bernard Ber-nard Hutchings. Word had reached Milford that Marion Robb of Paragonah was lost in the mountains east' of the Buckhorn flat in Iron county, near what is known as Anderson mountain, moun-tain, about 20 miles south of Beaver. Bea-ver. Mystery surrounded the disappearance dis-appearance and the parents of the boy seem to think he had met with an accident or foul play rather than that he had played a trick, as some were saying. Mrs. L. G. Clay had entertained entertain-ed the P. H. C C. at a theatre party at the high school, followed by cards at her home. Those enjoying en-joying the evening were Mrs. Emma Em-ma Smith, Mrs. Winnie Johnson, Mrs. Darl Quayle. Mrs. Susie Smith, Mrs. C L. Ford, Mrs. W, 0. Carlson and Miss Ardath Johnson. John-son. The Outzen brothers had secured se-cured a lease on five acres of land at the Hanging rock in Miners-ville Miners-ville canyon, where they were to open a pleasure park. They had already built a splendid dance pavilion pa-vilion with a floor space 40x80. Seats, swings and refrehment stands were to bp installed and later on a swimming pool was to be built. Mrs. W. F. Morley had entertained enter-tained the Saturday Dinner Bridge club at the Union Pacific hotel. At bridge Mrs. George Fernley and Mrs. Bellingroo had received the prizes. Others present. were Mesdames Field, Yeager. Parrish, Par-rish, Moore, Sloan, Ncwhart and Erickson. |
