Show Attend Graduation of Milford Young Woman Mrs. W. H. Hendrickson and daughter, Julia, left Friday of last week for Salt Lake City where a younger daughter, Kath-e Kath-e r i n e Ann Hendrickson, was awarded a bachelor of science degree at the University of Utah, annual commencement exercises exer-cises held Tuesday, rMiss Hendrickson Hen-drickson was awarded her diploma in elementary education at the "U", of which Miss Julia also is a graduate. The commencement exercises on Tuesday morning climaxed the events of "June Week" at re University of Utah. Graduating seniors passed in formal procession proces-sion across the campus to Kingsbury Kings-bury hall, where they heard the last annual address of Dr. George Thomas, retiring university president, presi-dent, and the commencement address ad-dress by Edward Davidson of Colorado university. 'Graduation exercises for approximately ap-proximately 700 seniors of the seventy-second graduating class of the state university officially began on Sunday afternoon with the baccalaureate address, delivered deliver-ed by Dr. John A. Widtsoe, L. D. S. church apostle. Following the service a tea sponsored by the University Women's club was given in honor of the graduates for their friends, families, arl the faculty members. |
