Show Friends Give Banquet In Honor of Reveals A banquet was held at the Union Pacific dining room Saturday, Satur-day, June 7, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Sam Reveal. Mr. Reveal has just taken his pension after 44 years of railroading. He started railroading in Chilicothe, Ohio, July 8, 1897. At that time he was working for the B. and O. railroad rail-road He quit that road and in November of 1898 went to the Santa Fe railroad in New Mexico and worked until 1899. Again he changed and went to Washington for the Southern Pacific in 1900. He worked for this road until 1906 when he came to work for the Los Angeles and Salt Lake railroad. Sam belonged to the Brotherhood Brother-hood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers for many years and in 1910 joined the B. of L. E. "Careful "Care-ful Sam", as he was called by most of his fellow workmen, has never had or caused a serious accident. ac-cident. Mrs. Reveal was presented present-ed with a corsage on behalf of the G. L A. ladies, and the B. of L. E. brothers presented them with an electric roaster and pen-and-pen-cil set. The table was decorated with garden flowiers and a small engine made by Spencer Whit-taker, Whit-taker, this engine being hand carved. A number of old songs were sung, and Monte Carlo whist was enjoyed, the prizes for men going to J. C. Jeffers, H. Myers and Frank Dearman; while the ladies' prizes went to Mrs. Dear-man, Dear-man, Mrs. Myers and Mrs. Sam Reveal.
