Hubbell had gone to Salt Lake to attend a grand opera. Election of officers for the M. I. A. of the L. D. S. church had taken place for that year. They were John F. Murdock, president; i William Joseph, first counselor; iStan Fotheringham, second counselor, coun-selor, for the young men; and Ar-dath Ar-dath Johnson, president; Mrs. .George Moore, first counselor; Miss Hughes, second counsellor; Mrs. James Tanner, class leader; Merle Pitchforth, secretary, and Juanita Miller and Alta Edwards, Beekeepers Bee-keepers for the young women. I Joe Hickman, Baxter, Bybee and 1 Sloan were threshing grain and I lucern seed. Bill Martin and Rudy Garcia had bagged a big bunch of ducks at Hay springs. There had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pitchforth, a little daughter, on October 15, 1921. A baby boy had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Abner Patterson of Read on October 15,1921. Mrs. Jos. R. Murdock and children chil-dren had been visiting in Salt Lake several days. Floyd Casterline had returned from a vacation trip to Los Angeles and eastern Kansas. |
