Show Milford CCC Notes Last Tuti-day was just another day to most people around here, but to the fellows in this company from New Orleans it was Mard; Gras. They missed being home to make merry with the rest of the folks, so they had to sit back ana read about it in the newspapers. Rut after thinking it over they decided de-cided it wasn't so bad after all. Being out here they see many things the people back homo never get to see. Captain Reuben Curtis, the district dis-trict chaplain, visited camp Saturday. Satur-day. He gave a lecture after dinner. din-ner. Ten men were discharged from this company last Tuesday. They returned to their homes in Louisiana Louisi-ana and Mississippi. One of them, Woodrow Lemoine, returned to his home in New Orleans to accept a position on the steamer President, Presi-dent, a pleasure boat on the Mississippi Mis-sissippi river. Lady Estes was here Tuesday for her usual service. She gave a most interesting talk on "Christian "Chris-tian Marriage". Tho baseball season opened last week that is in camp here. The boys went out for a little practice SunHay and everything went all riht, except for Robert Brown. He got in the way of tho ball and his left cyo was darkened a little. o |
