Show M MINERSVILLE David Charles Williams, young son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Williams, Wil-liams, fell and broke his arm, but, with his arm in a cast, he is able to attend school. The Service Men's Wives club entertained with a birthday party for Mrs. Russell Guymon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Marshall. Mike and Isabelle Kelsey are the proud parents of a baby girl, born to them in Beaver, Monday, September Sep-tember 10. Mr. and Mrs. Norma Garrett (Continued on last page) M. Welcome mats are out for Neal Gressmen, who is home from France with a 30-day furlough, which he will spend with his wife, and two small sons. Harold Gillins and Wayne and Dale Mathews spent the. last two days of the state fair in Salt Lake City, visiting the fair and other points of interest. Alma Banks and daughter of Lynndyl were week-end visitors in town. ' An interesting speaker at the Sunday night L. D. S. sacrament service was young Ben Croft, a former resident who has filled an L. D. S. mission since leaving here. He was accompanied by his parents, par-ents, Ben and LaRetha Croft. His wife was visiting with relatives in Salt Lake City. Mrs. L. L. Carter entertained with a dinner Sunday for her family. Out-of-town guests were Mrs. Warren Smith, Mrs. Warren Johnson and children, and Miss Lilly Hamilton, all of Beaver. ' A letter has been received from i Royle V. Wood by his sister, Mrs. C. K. Jameson. He has been a prisoner of the Japs at Osaka since the fall of Corregidor. The letter -was undated and in a P. O. W. envelope but stated that he was now able to receive mail and that he was in fair health. As yet they have received no word of his having been released. A guest at the home of her parents par-ents is Miss Mamie Dotson, who has been working at Long Beach, Calfornia since the outbreak of the war. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Carter, accompanied ac-companied by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Max Gressmen, and 'family, and Mrs. LaVonne Ed-' Ed-' wards and family of Stockton, j spent part of last week at Pan-jguitch Pan-jguitch lake and visiting the can-: can-: yons of southern Utah, j Mr." and Mrs. Lloyd Mathews, , with Mary Ellen and Pauline, ! spent the week-end at Antimony, visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Rulon Eyre is in southern California, visiting her son Garold, who is stationed at the San Diego naval base. She is a house guest of Mr. and Mrs. William Gibson. Mrs. Thurman Eyre has just returned re-turned from Salt Lake City, where she has had her youngest son under medical care. |
