Show A. I. Holt left Saturday for Beaver. Mrs. C. A. Chamberlin left Wednesday Wed-nesday for a brief stay in Salt Lake City. Mrs. L. A. Wynaught returned home Friday from an extended visit in California. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Husbands and Mrs. W. G. White motored to Beaver on business. Mrs. H. V. Shields left Saturday night for Salt Lake to visit with relatives for a few days. Mrs. John Williams left Sunday for Provo, where she will visit relatives for several days. Misjs Dorothy Levi is visiting home folks for several days, having hav-ing come down from Salt Lake for the 49'ers celebration. The I. Altman family have moved to the Marksheffel apartments apart-ments on north Main street. George Keisel, who has been shearing sheep here, left the last of the week for Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. W. G. White was confined to her home for several days last week on account of sickness. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tatison and children of Ely, Nevada, are visiting visit-ing at the Kimmel Coon home. Mr. and Mrs. John Snorf have moved up from Las Vegas and are nicely located on north Main street. Clifford Hughes of Park City was a visitor Saturday at the home of his brother, J. M. Hughes, on his way to Keller, California. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rogers of Cedar City were week-end guests at the home of Mr. Rogers' parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers. Dan Ferguson, wellknown Mil-ford Mil-ford singer, who has not been in this vicinity for some time, added no little to the enjoyment of the "Days of '49" show, having been drafted to sing on several occasions. occas-ions. Mrs. Rhea Rife left the first of the week for her home in Eureka, after spending some time in Mil-ford Mil-ford with her father, W. H. Tinder, Tin-der, and family. Mr. Tinder recently re-cently underwent treatment at the local hospital. F. E. Castlerline, station agent for the Los Angeles and Salt Lake route, was back on the job Tuesday Tues-day morning after a suspension of some ten days, ordered by Superintendent Super-intendent A. L. Coey as a result of a minor infraction of company regulations. Mrs. C. H. Cody of Provo, whoj has been visiting the past week i with Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Cottrell, j returned Sunday to her home, j where Mr. Cody is supervising: agent for the U. P. They arej former residents of Milford, Mr. Cody having served as agent here about thirty years ago. Quite a number of additional men will be enrolled for C C C work in the near future, according to J. M. Hughes, F E R A committeeman commit-teeman for Milford, and applicants may file their names with Ed Leach, local relief manager. The age limit has been extended to include in-clude men between 18 and 28 years of age but only unmarried applicants appli-cants will be accepted. Mrs. Fred Levi was hostess to the Monday night bridge club and guests at her home Monday night with Mrs. William Cochrane receiving re-ceiving high score prize, Mrs. D. S. Williams consolation prize and Mrs. C. W. Cates, the guest prize. Those present were Mesdames J. C. Smith, George Rogers, William Cochrane, J. M. Hughes, D. S. Williams, Wil-liams, C. W. Cates, Antone Johnson John-son and Lottie Smyth. The Lady Firemen met at the home of Mrs. Mary White for their regular 500 club meeting the first Thursday of the month. A delicious lunch was served at 10:45. Those present were Mesdames Mes-dames Otto Melehcr, F. W. Han-Ion, Han-Ion, W. A. Moore, Vee Gleasen, Ethel Smith and Freda Smith. Mrs. Carpenter was present as an invited guest. High score was won by Mrs. Gleasen and the consolation con-solation by Mrs. Moore. A delightful delight-ful time was enjoyed by all. |
