Show Couple Celebrates Golden Wedding The cozy Relief society room of the L. D. S. church building was the scene of a merry gathering Monday evening, the occasion being be-ing the golden wedding anniversary anniver-sary of William Samuel and Armenia Ar-menia Barkdull Bond. A banquet was served to about 39 friends, followed by' old-time dancing. Mr. Bond was born in Porter-ville, Porter-ville, Morgan county, February 5, 1864, a son of William and Ann Adams Bond, while Mrs. Bond was born March 5, 1863, in Goshen, Utah county, the daughter of Soloman and Lucy J. Clark Bark-dull. Bark-dull. They were married at Hat-ton, Hat-ton, in Millard county, November 25, 1885, residing there for about eight years before locating at i Read. There they made their home until that community 'was abandoned, aban-doned, when they located on the project southeast of town, continuing con-tinuing to engage in farming and cattle raising at that location. The honored couple are the parents of five children: William M., Ervin J., Clinton and Cuma Bond Goodwin of Milford, and Charlotte Ann Poulton of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bond have been active members of the L. D. S. church throughout their lives, Mr. Bond having served as bishop of the Read ward, while Mrs. Bond has served as Relief society president presi-dent and assistant superintendent of the Sunday school, of which Mr. Bond also served as superintendent. |
