Show CCC Officials Are Guests of Lions Clyde Tervort, grazing service superintendent of the Burbank CCC camp, and Basil B. Tayor, new commanding officer of company com-pany 150S, stationed at that camp, were guests of the Milford Lions club Thursday night of last week at the regular meeting of the club. Both took occasion to invite in-vite Lions and their families and other townspeople to attend the anniversary celebration of the Civilian Conservation Corps, which was held last Sunday. Superintendent Superin-tendent Tervort" also told of projects pro-jects now underway and planned for the summer by the camp, which was transferred from Milford Mil-ford shortly after the general election of last November. Lion Ivan McKnight, member of the Beaver county board of commissioners, com-missioners, was asked about the status of highway 91-W, extending extend-ing norfh of Milford toward Delta, and stated that the Beaver county section of this road had been lined up for inclusion in the state road system but that the plan had been blocked and then knocked out through the manipulation manipu-lation of some unnamed Miford person. Twelve Lions were present at the meeting, with Lion President E. L. Smith presiding. The others were Lions O. C. Koch, Parley B. Fisher, Ivan McKnight, La Mar Outzen, F. R. Gaines, Thomas Ger-rard, Ger-rard, Sam Cline, J. C. Smith, M. H. Pool, David S. Williams, and George Jefferson. M |
