HERO j j Miss Barbara Williams, daughter J of Mr. and Mrs. Leater Williams j of Milford, was married to Clifton Barton James, son of Mrs. Harry Mills, at Pioche, Nov., on Sunday afternoon. Bishop John M. Bridges performed the ceremony in the Lincoln county courthouse. I. They were accompanied to the j Nevada city by Mr. and Mrs. David E. Lewis, Lt. Vernon C. ' Beard and the bride's father. i Mr. James, a staff sergeant In the United States Army, was wounded in action with the Tenth Armored division in Europe last! November, and has been convalesc- ing in a California army hospital. j Mrs. James, popular member of Milford's younger social set, and her husband were complemented by Mr. and Mrs. Dan James and Mr. and Mrs. James Holm at a dinner at the Holm residence Tuesday afternoon. Guests were seated at aj long table with a large wedding j cake for a centerpiece. Attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. T. W. James, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Mills, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Rickerson, Mr. B. Colburn, Mr. Dave Lewis, Mrs. Charles Beard and son Vernon, Lt. Thorp Wad-dingham, Wad-dingham, Mr. Alden Bosh of Cali-ente, Cali-ente, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Leigh of Marysvale, the guests of honor and host and hostess. Sgt. James left Wednesday for Denver, Colo., for further medical treatment at Fitzsimmons General hospital. Mrs. James will make, her home with her parents pending her husband's discharge from the army. |
