Show tfe LOOKING BACKWARD I SNXsAftj?-" Items of interest taken from the j --SriQ v( Files of the Miiford News of j Fifteen years ago this week i A beautiful lawn party had been given at the Miller home on North Main street in celebration of the silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. William A Miller. Vocal and instrumental music by the Misses Juanita and Aleen Miller Mil-ler furnished entertainment during dur-ing the early evening. A party had been given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Hardy at their farm south of town. Five Hundred and dancing were amusements amuse-ments of the evening. The prizes for the games had been rewarded Mrs. D. X. Hickman and Ted Bird. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Jorgensen, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. White, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Barton, Bar-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Fothering-ham, Fothering-ham, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Tanner, Mr. and Mrs. D. X. Hickman, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hanks, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Kesler, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Hardy, Mrs. George Fernley and Ted Bird. A surprise party had been given in honor of Beryl Young at her home, by 'some of her girl friends. Those present were Gameta Clements, Clem-ents, Lillian Stoker, Helen Ruth Ward, Alice Frizell, Arvilla Muir, Iretta Atkins, Ora Edwards, Norma Nor-ma Burns, Mary Vincent and Maxine Barlsley. Misses Juanita Teckla and Helen James of Black Rock, had been Mill'ord visitors. Miss Bernice Levi had returned from her vacation trip spent in Wyoming. Miss Annetta Schow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Scow, and Earl Gleason had been married Friday, August 13, in Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Gourley, and Mr. and Mrs. Stoker and children and Mrs. Raines and children . had spent Sunday at the McEwan ranch. Miss Ardath Johnson had entertained enter-tained in honor of her cousin, Miss Fern Sylvester. The guests were Misses Idonna White, Louise Poulton, Vera White, Alta Edwards Ed-wards and Fern Sylvester, and Earl Warren, Spencer Schow, Al Kirk, Nate Smith and Mr. Bell. |
