Show flRMAGEJTHEATRE Friday and Saturday "Little Miss Roughneck" is the most conceited, impertinent, insufferable insuf-ferable 10-year old that ever provoked pro-voked an audience from the shadowy shad-owy safety of the silver screen but you'll love her. In the flesh, the rough litte lady is Edith Fellows, Fel-lows, and it's mainly due to her consummate con-summate comic artistry that you'll find yourself smiling at her antics when you'd really like to wring her little neck. This comedy also features fea-tures Leo Carillo, Scott Cclton and Jacqueline Wells. Chapter 5 of "Red Barry" .and a two seel comedy com-edy also will be shown. These pictures pic-tures come to the Firmage theatre Friday and Saturday. Sunday and Monday The idea that money and the ac-cumulataion ac-cumulataion of money are not the main purposes of life is brilliantly expressed in a delightful comedy-romance comedy-romance coming to the Firmage theatre Sunday and Monday. "Holiday", is a blessed change from the bright and scintillant whimsies of modern times. With Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant co-starred, the picture vibrates vi-brates with life. The film is packed pack-ed with humcr, with human humor instead of zany antics. "Holiday" presents a rebellious socialite who knows a real man when she sees one, and a young man who insists upon doing his own groping in life's grabbag, rather than marry a million-dollar baby. A news reel and a cartoon, "Maid In China", also will be shown. Tuesday and Wednesday "Josette" coming to the Firmage theatre Tuesday and Wednesday features Don Ameche, Simone Simon, Robert Young and Joan Davis. The locale of the picture is in New Orleans. Don Ameche and Robert Young portray brothers who set out to save their susceptible suscepti-ble father who has married a gold-digger gold-digger cafe singer called Josette. They mistake Simone Simon, wardrobe ward-robe girl, for Josette and both fall in love with her, Ameche winning after many complications. A news reel and a travelogue "Costa Rica" also will be shown. Thursday "Annabel Takes a Tour" with Jack Oakie, Lucille Ball, Ruth Donnelly, Don-nelly, Bradley Page and others in the cast, comes to the Firmage theatre Thursday only. It is a fast moving comedy adorned with a wacky touch and strung together with clever dialog. It parades Lucille Lu-cille Ball and Jack Oakie at their best. Selected short subjects also will be shown. |
