Show LIFE'S I LITTLE HOLY FOWL Farmer Knott's wife cooked two chickens the day the two ministers came to dinner, but the farmer consoled con-soled himself with the thought that the family could make another meal of the remains. But when the gentle gen-tle en of the cloth finished, there weren't any remains. After dinner, says the Washington Washing-ton Post, while the well-fed visitori were strolling about the farm with their disgruntled host, a rooster began be-gan crowing loudly. "Pretty proud of himself, isn't he?" remarked one of the parsons. "Humph!" grouched Farmer Knott. "No wonder he's got two sons in the ministry!" |
