Show Killed Parachutist Was Husbandof Local Girl Pfc. Jack A. Devaul, 22, of Los Vegas, Nevada, husband of the former Edith Hollis of Milford, was killed Sunday night in an unsuccessful un-successful parachute jump as seven of an eight-man crew of a heavy four-engine bomber bailed out after one engine had caught fire. Col. R. Baez jr., commanding officer of-ficer at the Rapid City, S. D., army air base made the announcement announce-ment Monday and stated that the other men landed safely. Pfc. Devaul's widow, who lives , at Rapid City, is the daughter of M.. and Mrs. Charles Hollis jr. of Ogden, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hollis sr. of Milford. Mil-ford. He is survived by his widow and two children: Dennis, two' years, and Elain, six months; and his mother, Mrs. Lucy Stewart of Las Vegas. |
