This Week's Schudule January 26 Delta at Hinckley; Fillmore at MilScrd; Beaver, bye. The 37-31 victory of the Milford Tigers over the Delta Rabbits Friday night of last week gave the local fellows top ranking in the Beaver-Millard division of Region Six and quite definitely pointed Milford to another berth in the stale tournament, to be held in Salt Lake City during March. I The game was played at Delta I and, though some of the players declared the Delta fellows were harder to hold in check than were the Hinckley Mustangs the week before on the local floor, the best Delta was able to do at any time was to tie the score, and this was only momentarily, the Tigers soon taking up the slack and not again permitting their opponents any advantage in that respect. i Captain Dan Gillies was high scorer for Milford, with 17 points, closely followed by the indefatigable indefatig-able Bud James, with 13- One of the most gjratif yingl features of Milford's showing was the fine record hung up in the matter of foul throw conversions. James made three but of four trials, while Gillies, Austin Williams and Jim Hickman each converted his single opportunity. The Milford-iDelta game brought out the largest crowd ever to gather gath-er in the Delta gymnasium, it is said, and well it might be for there were close to 200 Milford students and fans who made the trip. Arrangements Ar-rangements were made for a special spe-cial car to be attached to No. 5 Friday afternoon, and there were 60-odd paid fares who made- the trip by rail, plus an uncounted number who i-ode on passes and some 20 automobiles which made the trip over highway 91-W, every car being loaded with enthusiastic students or adult fans. This Friday night Milford has another home game and a packed house, no doubt, even though their opponents are the cellar occupants. occu-pants. However, Coach Floyd K-ot-ter is not discounting the growing grow-ing ability of the Millard county high school team, which comes here from Fillmore. The Beaver team sprung the surprise of the season last Friday night when they defeated the Eagles at Fillmore, Fill-more, but there are a number of people who feel that the Fillmore team has the material to spring a few surprises themselves if they can just get started. The most interesting contest on the boards for this Friday night, however, will be the contest con-test for second place honors in division di-vision standing, to be fought out between Deta and Hinckley on the latter floor. Press despatches emanating from Delta have been nice build-ups for an alibi in case of defeat but we shall see what we shall see!
