Show Russian Relief Is Filling Great Need Russian War Relief, incorporated, incorporat-ed, with state headquarters in Salt Lake City, is helping our Allies Al-lies with the rehabilitation of their devastated country. Last reports indicated that there were 65 million mil-lion Russian people left without , food, clothing or shelter. This is staggering when one realizes this is 400 times the population of Salt Lake City alone. Russian relief and rehabilitation is helping to alleviate some of this suffering by sending new and used clothing, shoes, food and medical equipment. There are sewing sew-ing and knitting .projects and interested organizations or individuals indi-viduals should contact state headquarters. head-quarters. Arthur Gaeth, state chairman of Russian, relief for Utah, has advised ad-vised that a request has come from the people of Russia to the people of the United States asking aid in rebuilding 100 of the bombed bomb-ed and wrecked libraries by supplying sup-plying them with English language books. There is a waiting list of six to eight months for these books and America should respond wholeheartedly to this appeal. The books that are wanted are the English language classics and the children's classics. Any one interested inter-ested in this project also should contact or mail their books to: Russian War Relief, 153 East 2nd South Street, Salt Lake City, 1, Utah. This project will h"lr build a better understanding and bring 1 our American ways closer to ouh I Russian friends. i V |
