Show An interesting study of 100 ppople in Detroit who had figured in repeated automoTjile accidents revealed that 14 were found too seriously crippled to control a car, 7 were demented de-mented and 10 were feeble minded. Yet all these persons had been issued a license permitting- them to take a car capable cap-able of sixty miles an hour out on the highway. Obviously something is radically wrong with the licensing system for automobile drivers. What good is accomplished in pointing with hysteria to the mounting accident toll while at the same time licenses are issued in utter disregard of a driver's ability abil-ity to handle a car. |
