Show Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Sanford ana son Dale are spending the holidays in California. Mrs. J. C. Jeffers, with her son Jay and daughter Vera, were Cali-ente Cali-ente visitors Wednesday. Mrs. W. K. Aitken of Franklin, Idaho is visiting at the home ol her neice, Mrs. E. L. Smith. Mrs. Sherman W. Johnson pnd teaching school in Kartab this winter, came home last Thursday to spend the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Berthann Showalter of Salt Lake City was a Christmas guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wynaught. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Osborne, of Cedar City spent a few days this week visiting at the home ol Mr. Osborne's .sister and with local friends. Miss Lois Williams, who is small son returned home last week from a visit of several weeks with her parents in Cleveland, Ohio. The J. Douglas Ryan family has as their guest for the holidays Mrs. Ryan's sister, Jane Layton of Salt Lake, who formerly was office attendant for Dr. R. R. Shannon. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McCulley feel the utmost sympathy sympa-thy toward the young couple in the loss of their baby daughter, born December 15 at Provo. The little one lived only a few hours and interment took place at Provo, former home of Mrs. "McCulley. Bobby Nichols, a former student of the Milford high school, who now lives in Salt Lake, is a Mil-ford Mil-ford visitor. Mrs. W. S. Hamilton (nee Miss Mildred Killam) arrived in Milford last Thursday from Ely, Nevada, for a few weeks visit with home folks. Mr.' and Mrs. A. A: Mclntyre and sons returned home Wednesday Wednes-day from Los Angeles, where they went to spend the holidays with relatives and friends. Hal Norton of Salt Lake City, member of the research staff at the Desert Range Experiment station sta-tion a couple of years ago, was the guest of Miss Ina Smith at the J'. C. Smith home the latter part; of last week. Former Bishop and Mrs. E. H. Bird, now residents of Salt Lake City, are enjoying a holiday visit at the home of their daughters, Mrs. Bob Tomisk and Mrs. Vance Fisher, and with friends who are numbered by the scores. Mx. and Mrs. C. F. Cowles of Felt, Idaho, were guests over Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Cochrane sr. Mr. and Mrs. Cowles, who are parents of Mrs. William Cochrane jr., were enroute to California to spend the winter months. Christmas was officially observed observ-ed in Milford with a community tree, program and treat at the L. D. S. recreation hall, sponsored by various organizations of the town, and by a separate program at the M. E. church under the direction di-rection of Gladys Coleman. |
