Show Board County Commissioners Reduce Tax Levy 1.6 Mills! i Combined With Cut of Half-Mill In State Levy, Reduction Means Approximately 5 Per Cent Saving To Most Taxpayers A By eliminating entirely the levy for county road purposes and re-1 ducing by a full mill the levy foi' bond interest, the Beaver county j board of commissioners, meeting in regular session Monday at Bea- j ver, were able to effect a net re-j d'uetion of one and six-tenths mills ; in the county tax levy for this year, despite the addition of one-1 tenth of a mill levy for the advertising adver-tising fund, which was not levied, last year. These reductions, taken with the reduction of vhaf a mill in the state levy, mean a net re-j duction of 2.1 mills for the tax-, payers of the county at large and1 also those living within Beaver j City and Milford Town. The Min-1 ersville levy for town purposes is shown to be two mills higher this year than, last and, accordingly, the saving to taxpayers withift the limits of that town will be but one, tenth of a mill.
