Show Conservation Area Soon To Be Fenced Cutting of fence posts for the Minersville Soil Conservation district dis-trict boundary and division fences began last week when a W P A crew of 22 men, under the super-! vision of Stanley McKnight of Minersville, established a camp I near the Jocky Myers sprin'r, lo-' cated approximately 43 miles west of Minersville, according to Jules Renaud, acting area forester, whose headquarters are in Cedar City. The crew will be enlarged this week to approximately 28 1 men and cutting and hauling operations will continue for the next three months. j . These posts are being cut under permit from grazing service lands, and are for construction of 45 miles of range fence near Minersville. Miners-ville. All work is covered by cooperative co-operative agreement between the Minersville Soil Conservation district dis-trict and the United States Grazing Graz-ing service. Soil Conservation Service technicians tech-nicians are supervising the marking mark-ing of posts to be cut and the scattering of brush harvested from tops and branches. The utilization of brush to check small gullies and 1 to cover barren patches of soil will ! not only check erosion but will ; promote more rapid growth, of J grass because of additional shade and protection. ; Stay material is also being cut from the tops remaining after! the posts are cut.
