Show GOVERNOR MAW TO REFEREE TOWN-CITY TOWN-CITY DISCUSSION His Excellency, Gov. Herbert B. Maw, will attend a Milford mass meeting tentatively scheduled ifor August 8 to hear expressions of Milford sentiment concerning the proposal to declare Milford a city of the third class. A letter from Governor Maw to that affect was read at the town board session last Friday, July 5, and Town Clerk Burns instructed to inform the governor that August 8 would be an agreeable date. The weed spraying machine has arrived in Milford, and will be immediately put to work spraying spray-ing obnoxious weeds. Residents who wish to avail themselves of the opportunity to rid their yards and lawns of obnoxious weeds may contact Town Clerk Vernon Burns and arrange for their lots to be sprayed at a cost of $5 per lot. J. W. Myers was authorized quitclaim quit-claim deed to lots 3 and 4, Block 17, Plat B, upon payment of $25. The town had acquired tax lien on the property for delinquent sidewalk assessment. Laying of concrete floors in the (hangars at the airport was authorized, author-ized, which will be the final improvement im-provement necessary for approval of the local airport as a G. L training train-ing site. |
