Show Funeral Is Held For Wm. Davis Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Minersville Miners-ville for William H. Davis, 58, foi many years a resident of Milford. In bad health for several years largely due to his work as a miner, min-er, Mr. Davis's condition had become be-come worse since the death of hi-wife hi-wife August 16, and he passed away Sunday night at the home of his mother in Minersville. Speakers at the services wen State Senator Frank Williams am Bishop Charles K. Jameson, boti of Minersville; and musical num bers included two choir selections a vocal duet by Vivian Marshall and Silva Davis, and a violin sob by Reese Griffiths. The opening prayer was offered by George H Eyre, the benediction by Delo; Baker and the grave dedicator prayer by Bishop Jameson, buria taking place in the Minersvilli cemetery. William Henry Davis was bori January 7, 1882 at Minersville ani was married August 16, 1903, t Grace Baker of that place. Honest and indus trious, Mr. Davis was a good citi zen and will be missed in the com munity. Surviving him are two daugh ters, Mrs. Erma. Neill of Ely, Ne vada and Mrs. La Rue Ashwort'r of Long Beach, California; a sor. Myles, of Ely; his aged mother Mrs. Lena Davis; a sister, Mrs-Laura Mrs-Laura Sherwood, and four bro thers: Leon, Owen, James am George, all of Minersville; als four grandchildren. |
