Nothing could serve as a stronger strong-er testimonial of the popularity of these caves than these figures When it is recalled that there are no sleeping and eating facilities at the national monument; that there is no improved highway between the scenic attractions of southern Utah and the caves, it is a wonder that so many persons went there. One can only conclude that the trip was actuated by an impelling desire to see this marvelous, natural na-tural attraction, the formations of which are said to fascinate the artistic ar-tistic mind and to excell the beauties beau-ties of other noted national caves i fhat attract millions each year. It is encouraging to know that some important development is now planned for Lehman caves. , and that the work has already been started. Next year the entire high-j high-j way mileage between Ely and Leh-I Leh-I man caves will be improved to the j Nevada line. This in itself will greatly stimulate travel, and when the highways from the caves to Milford and to Delta are improved, connecting with the main highway leading to the scenic attractions of southern Utah, thousands of tourists should visit Nevada's No. 1 scenic attraction each year. It has long been said that Lehman Leh-man caves is destined to become I one of the greatest places of scenic I interest in the United States, and now it is only waiting on needed improvements.
