C. Koch motored motor-ed 'to Richfield Friday morning of last week. Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Hickman and family and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gilliam and son were New Year's day dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Coon. The W P A Play school resumed classes January 6. Before closing for the Christmas Holidays they had a Christmas party with' 14 mothers and 24 children in attendance. attend-ance. Presents were exchanged by the children after a program for the mothers had been presented by the children. A tasty luncheon suitable for the occasion was served. Mrs. Kathryn Shingleton was hostess to the Bridgadiers on Friday, Fri-day, January 3, at her home. A delicious de-licious dinner was served at 8:00 p.m., after which contract bridge was played until a late hour. High points pi-izes were awarded to Mrs. Lena Morris and Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Barnes, high honors prizes to Mrs. Hazel Steenbock and Mrs. A. J. Raines, while (the traveling prize was won by Mrs. Barnes and the consolation by Mrs. Frances Jefferson. Others present were Mrs. Agnes Kauert, Mrs. Lettie Fotheringham and the hostess. Mrs. Thomas Gerrard and Mrs. A. B. Gilliam were co-VioS'tesses to the members of their bridge club, and their husbands Saturday evening of last week at the Gerrard Ger-rard home. Present, in addition to the Gerrards and Gilliams, were Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cline, Dr. and Mrs. L. F. Kohler, Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Carlson, and Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Coon. First high prizes were won by Mr. Coon and Mrs Cline, second high by Mr. Gerrard and Mrs. Kohler, and third high by Mr. Jefferson and Mrs. Coon. |
