Show Minersville Clubs Do Splendid Work The Corn and Poultry 4-H clubs of Minersville were entertained at a dinner party Thursday evening, August 15, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Wood as a fitting climax for their years work. The following people were guests for the occasion: County Agent and Mrs. Lew Mar Price and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Graff, guests of honor; hon-or; Phyllis Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Marshall, Ual Marshall, Mrs. Drue Marshall, De Wayne Carter, Victor Davis, Mr. and Mrs. James Davis, Ward Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Delos Baker and Billie Fotheringham. As a result of the cooperation between the Minersville and Delta clubs they have the honor of having hav-ing shipped the first complete carload car-load of barred Plymouth rocks to the Los Angeles market, according accord-ing to information given by a representative rep-resentative of the poultry company com-pany which handled the shipment. The corn club has had as officers offi-cers for the summer the following: follow-ing: President, Ual Marshall; vice-president, Victor Davis; secretary-treasurer, Jeff Marshall. The poultry club was officered by Ward Thompson, president; Billie Fotheringham, vice-president; Phyllis Marshall, secretary-treasurer. secretary-treasurer. The amlusement committee served serv-ed both clubs jointly and consisted of Spencer Roberts, chairman; with Phyllis Marshall and Victor Davis as committee co-workei's. Billie Fothering-ham has also acted act-ed as reporter for both clubs. |
