Show CHRISTlANjCIENCE "Spirit" is the subject of the lesson-sermon in First Church of : Christ, Scientist, in Milford on : Sunday, February 10. j The Golden text is: "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is j liberty" (II Corinthians 3:17). I The Scriptural citations used in the lesson-sermon include I Corin- Ithians 12: 7, 13: "But the mani-, mani-, I testation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spiriit." Correlative to these is the following fol-lowing passage from the Christian Science textbook "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Scrip-tures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "The rich in spirit help the poor in one grand brotherhood, all having the same Principle, or Father; and blessed is that man who seeth his brother's need and supplieth it, seeking his own in another's good, j Love giveth to the least spiritual idea might, immortality, and goodness, good-ness, which shine through all as the blossom shine3 through the bud. All the varied expressions of God reflect health, holiness, immortality im-mortality infinite Life, Truth, and Love." (p. 518). |
