It is expected that the club will start functioning function-ing with the next radio class. Much gratitude is due Mr. Beecher for the splendid spirit in which he accepted the program and the manner in which he entered enter-ed into it with the offers made and the members of the club should indicate that appreciation by their regular attendance at the class at least once each week and twice each week if possible. Even though you are unable to attend you are most cordially invited to become a member and as such will receive the same consideration as though you were attending. A brief outline of the intended plans is given below for the information informa-tion of prospective members. Starting with the next class the course in radio will commence with the first lesson and the entire course will be given over again. By doing this it will allow all those persons interested to take advantage of the instructions and will also serve as a review for those who have been attending. It is planned to apply for, and, if granted, to construct a broadcast station at the school on a non-commercial basis whereby instruction in announcing, technician duties and so on may be offered. In addition ad-dition to this, the club has been offered of-fered the facilities of the school laboratory, where it is planned to conduct practical experiments every meeting in illustrating the discussion taking place. It is also planned to become affiliated with some international radio club by means of which additional privileges privi-leges may be enjoyed. The success of the club will naturally rest on the spirit of the members, and their cooperation towards the club, the result of which will indicate the reception of the idea by the people of Milford. Members are not expected to purchase a thing when joining the club, nor will they be asked for any initiation or membership fee. The only requisite re-quisite will be cooperation on the part of members. If you are interested in seeing such a project carried out you are respectfully asked that you attend the radio class next Monday night, February 11, and learn more of the plans. To summarize, one of the prime motives it to make Milford Mil-ford radio-conscious, and to participate, parti-cipate, as a club, in projects of civic interest. Will you join vis ? o |
