Show Desert Range C. C. C. Camp By Marv Smith, Camp Correspondent "The Mirage" The first edition of "The Mirage" Mi-rage" was made last Monday. It is an eight-page mimeographed job consisting of camp news and notices, and edited by Fred Hales and Ralph Brown, with Harold Degelbeck as artist. There are I five reporters on the staff. Nearly 350 copies were run off and distributed. dis-tributed. .The staff is to be complimented com-plimented on their efforts in the publication of the camp's first paper. Editor Hales states that because of the work attached, the second edition will be forthcoming in about three weeks, i Camp Movies A modern motion picture and i sound machine has recently been purchased by CCC Company j 1964. Chris Chesley, chief operator, opera-tor, has been hard at work getting it set up for the weekly or biweekly bi-weekly shows. A good line of Fox films will be shown each week together with various short subjects. sub-jects. Saturday and Sunday we were j i idsited by Captain T. Curtis and his brother, Lieutenant Curtis. Both are on active duty with the Fort Douglas district as chaplains. A fine program was held, which included slides and pictures of the other CCC camps of the district. Sunday morning the chaplains held a short religious service for the men of the camp. j Athletics This balmy weather makes athletics an attraction to nearly everyone. Softball, baseball and soccer are the leading sports at present. The basketball team has . got in a couple of practices dur-1 ing the last two weeks and will 1 likely line a game up with the smooth working Milford "M" Men team in the near future. 1 "Howlers" Casteberry "I'm going to kiss '. you." j Girl (No answer).
