Show L. G. Williams made a business trip to Beaver the middle of the week. Miss Alice Jones returned home lat Thursday from a seven-weeks visit in San Diego, California. Mrs. K. L. Smith and children visited in Salt Lake last week-end, where the children enjoyed seeing Santa Claus. Mr. and Mrs. Louis A. Sanford and young son returned Saturday from an extended visit in Chicago and other Illinois cities. Mrs. Allen Hedges of Salt Lake, a former resident of Milford, has been a guest at the home of Mrs. J. P. Holm the past week. The C. H. Wood family left Thursday for Sisters, Oregon, to make their home, after a residence of several weeks in South Milford. The B. of I,. F. and E. entertained entertain-ed their wives at a dancing party and a hot midnight supper in the Firemen's hall last Friday night. Mrs. George Moore was a weekend week-end visitor in Salt Lake with her mother, Mrs. Poulton, who is ill. The latter is a former resident of Milford. - Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Tripp left Wednesday for Salt Lake where they will spend a six weeks vacation. vaca-tion. Mr. Tripp is one of the operators opera-tors at the local airways radio station. sta-tion. Mrs. W. H. Hendrickson. and daughter Kathy left Thursday of last week for a visit in Salt Lake with another daughter Julia, a student stu-dent at the University of Utah. Miss Kathy will also receive medical medi-cal attention while in the city. Miss Margaret Cochrane was hostess to the S. 0. D. H. girls at the Cochrane home last Thursday night with the Misses Lois Williams, Wil-liams, Mary Banks, Beth Coleman, Mildred Killam, Norma White, Ruth and Sarah Pool present. Lunch will be served from 12 o'clock noon to 3 o'clock p.m. Ernest Kelley arrived in Milford Tuesday morning for an indefinite visit with his mother, Mrs. Charles Kelley, following graduation from an Ookland, California, highschool. school. Mrs. H. Ml Hearn and her mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Allred, left this week for Salt Lake City, where it was necessary to take Mrs. Allred for special treatment of a stomach ailment. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Johnson and son, who have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Hearn, have returned to Tooele, where Mr. Johnson is employed as electrician in the International smelter. Chet Toutloff and D. E. Kirk, officials of the Quadmetals corporation, corpor-ation, made a business trip to Salt Lake the middle of the week, being accompanied on their return by Mr. Toutloff 's wife, here from Chicago. Chi-cago. A private dancing party was given last Saturday night at the Milford Firemen's hall for Mr. and Mrs. Thorald White, who were recently married. Dancing and refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed throughout through-out the evening. The Beaver west ward presented a very nice program in Milford Monday night as part of the M. I. A. chautauqua series of entertainments en-tertainments being given in connection connec-tion with the Improvement Era subscription campaign. Miss Margaret Peterson accompanied accom-panied Mrs. B. E. Hutchins t0 El Monte, California, this (Thursday) (Thurs-day) morning, where Miss Peterson Peter-son will become the bride of William Wil-liam (Bud) Hutchins the latter part of the month. Mrs. L. C. Koch and daughter Barbara are here from Salt Lake for a few weeks, to be near Mr. Koch, who is superintendent of the local department of grazing C C C camp. They have living quarters at the Forgie apartments. Mrs. M. H. Pool was hostess to her bridge club Saturday. Those enjoying the afternoon were Mes-dames Mes-dames J. R. Murdock jr., J. M. Williams, William Cochrane, Douglas Doug-las Ryan, W. C. Cates, George Fernley, Sam Cline., Alvin Baker, and Jane Laytort. Prizes were won by Mrs; Fernley for high points, Mrs. Williams for high honors, Mrs. Ryan consolation and Mrs. Cline guest prize. Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. received the members of the Wednesday night bridge club at her home with Mrs. E. L. Smith awarded the prize for high points, Mrs. George Moore for high -honors and Mrs. Gene Kirk the consolation prize. Those present ' vere Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. E. L: Smith, Mrs. J. H. Mrs. Roy White sr., Mrs. Doug Fotheringham, Mrs. Abe Fother-' Fother-' ingham and Mrs. Frank Kuchen-1 Kuchen-1 meister entertained at a miscellaneous miscellan-eous shower last Friday night at the home of Mrs. Abe Fothering-Kam Fothering-Kam for Mrs. Thorald White, a recent re-cent bride. About twenty-eight women were present and the evening even-ing was enjoyed playing bridge. Mrs. George Rogers and Mrs. Myron Lewis received high score J rizes and Mrs. Lloyd Kohler the convolution prize. Mrs. C. O. Sportsman was hostess host-ess to the G. I. A. club at her home last Thursday ni'ht. Hridge was played and Mrs. J. C. Jeffers won the high points prize, Mrs. L. B. Waddingham the high honors prize 1 und Mrs. B. E.
