Show Burbank CCC Notes 7 I Clifford R. Jcnes, subaltern at Burbank Camp G-117, took over the control of the camp when Harry F. Goslee was suddenly summoned to take charge of the ! Panaca camp upon the death of its commnder. Lieutenant Jones ; had previous experience several ! years ago as a camp commander in the Fort Missoula district, where he proved efficient and was well-liked. He has served with his ! present company for a period of six months. Captain Goslee returns re-turns to his old company where he had previously served as commanding com-manding officer in 1938. Captain Goslee has the reputation of making mak-ing visible improvements in every camp where he is in command. iRichard B. Stevens cf Anderson, Indiana died in the Milford hospital hos-pital as the result of comiplications which set in after he had suffered an operation for appendicitis which had! appeared to be quite' successful. However in the weakened weak-ened condition resulting from the operation. bronchial pneumonia set in and Knrollee Stevens failed to rally and died. Stevens was very popular as an enrollee, carrying with him a sunny smile whi:h never left him even in' death, lie was employed as a beginner be-ginner in the kitchen and was looked upon as a very promising learner.
