SLJ H8SSac!SW-::w:af: . . ..,. k. . . ..... - The plan of the United States to train 20,000 civilians annually as reserve pilots will receive a practical five-months test at 13 leading universities this year. One of the first to try out the plan is Pamona Junior college of Los Angeles, Calif., where 15 young men between the ages of 18 and 25 started the course in February. Feb-ruary. In June they will have qualified for private piloting certificates. Students rebuild smashed aircraft "from the ground up."
