Show Funeral Held For D. Walter Muir Well attended funeral services we're held Wednesday afternoon at ,2 o'clock for David Walter Muir. I 'G8, who died Sunday of pneumonia in a Salt Lake hospital where he was taken for treatment some three weeks ago. The services were held in the local L. D. S. chapel with Bishop M. Joy Christensen in charge. The speakers were former Bishop William A. Miller of Beaver and Principal E. R. Moody of the Mil-ford Mil-ford high school. Prayers were offered of-fered iby former Bishop E. H. Bird and Lawrence White of Beaver. Musical num'bers included two selections by the Singing Mothers and vocal solos by Ralph Thompson Thomp-son and Alvin H. Baker. Burial took place at Beaver. David Walter Muir was born in Beaver March 2, 1870, a son of David and Ellen Duncan Muir. He was married October 2, 1899 to Mary Elizabeth Gale of Beaver and they came to Milford 32 years go last November. He had been a railroad car inspector for many years, retiring a few gars ago, and was affiliated with the Brotherhood Bro-therhood of Railroad Carmen. Surviving him are his wief; a daughter, Mrs. Arvilla Hanson of Salt Lake; two sons, Walter H. and Leonard D. of Muir of Milford, and two grandchildren. Mr. Muir was of a kindly unobtrusive unob-trusive disposition who believed in being a good citizen in every respect re-spect and, as such, had a wide range of warm friends who will miss him. |
