Incidentally, extra copies of last week's issue wore printed "on a hunch" and they went like hot cakes to people peo-ple from all parts of the county which also was gratifying to us. We figured we were Riving Heaver county a real service in thus publishing the list while interest in-terest was at a high level, and the people generally seem to have agreed with us. But there appears to have been one person who mil; lit be classified otherwise. This party called us up the forepart of the week and asked us to look up his serial number. We were very busy at. the time making up the new order listing, and told him we could hardly spare the time to go thiough 543 names but that we had printed extra copies of the paper, which were available. Next question from the party: "Where can I get my serial number num-ber without buying a paper?" Our reply: "At the court house at Beaver 30 miles distant." An odd development in the listing list-ing of the registrants in order was the way the serial numbers from 101 to 200 were monopolized in the early listing. On the other hand, the major part of the 401-to-500 serial numbers rated 'way down in the list. This is purely a coincidence, however, since serial numbers were assigned registrants regist-rants all over the United States before the lottery took place in Washington and registrants in other local board areas will be affected similarly to Beaver county. coun-ty. Then there was a doctor in California Cali-fornia who advised a change of . climate for his patient, and was run out of the state.
