Show ! Democrats, G.O.P. ! Visit In Milford i ! Dr. Herbert B. Maw, Democrat- ic candidate for governor, and the Reverend R. A. Naugle of Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, were the principal speakers Friday night of last week at Democratic rallies held in MilfoTd and Beaver and attended by good crowds ' in both places. The visitor from the east confined con-fined himself pretty well to a discussion dis-cussion of national issues, but Dr. Maw touched on both state and national matters, going into some detail jn the matter of state affairs, af-fairs, emphasizing the need of a drastic change in state government govern-ment and detailing some of the changes most desirable. iSeveral Democratic candidates were present and the two Salt Lake comedians, known as "Tabby and Bunn," were also present and furnished entertainment in their own inimitable manner. Wednesday afternoon the lady Republicans gave a tea with Don B. Colton, Republican candidate for governor, and Joseph E. Ev- ans, Republican candidate for supreme su-preme court justice, as guests of honor. The two candidates, accompanied accom-panied by local candidates, also spent some time greeting people about town. M |
