Show (Firemen, Ladies Enjoy Big Party Honoring tho outgoing officers of the Milford Volunteer Fire department de-partment and honorary members of the organization, a very successful suc-cessful dinner and dance was given .last Saturday night in the firo-j firo-j men's hall, with 56 people taking part. The dinner was prepared by j the lady firemen, a permanent or-jganization or-jganization of whom is now under- way, and the thanks of the fire-j fire-j men for the good work of their jfair better-halves for the unqualified unquali-fied success of the affair has been unanimously voted by the laddies. J Games were interspersed with the dancing following the dinner and the whole was punctuated with a fake fire alarm which was sdunded at about 9:30 without a thought to the discomfort of moving quickly quick-ly with full stomachs. Despite this, however, the boys were "on the job", with their usual alertness and speed qualities that make the 1 Milford fire department one of the most outstanding in tho west! ; Outgoing officers of the department depart-ment are: Roy Carlson, president; Thorald White, vice-president; Willis Witbeck, secretary-treasurer; Owen Holt, chief; A. C. Johan-sen, Johan-sen, captain; and Dern Oshorn and Jim Patterson, trustees. New officers offi-cers are: Max Root, president; Thorald White, Vice-president; Owen W. Stoker, secretary-treasurer; A. C. Johansen, chief; Roy White, captain; and Eddie Leach and Fred McKay, trustees. |
