Show F1RMAGEJHEATRE Friday and Saturday "Two In Revolt", RKO-Radio picture, comes to the Firmage theatre thea-tre Friday and Saturday as one of the features of a double show, with John Arledge, Moroni Olsen, Louise Latimer, and "Warrior" and "Lightning," horse and dog screen stars, leading an imposing array of more than two hundred pack wolves, dogs, bears and wild horses. "Two In Revolt" is an animal-in-wonderland screen experience, ex-perience, the most significant animal ani-mal production since the day of Strongheart, and laden with romantic ro-mantic conflict. Chockful of such magnetic qualities, this picture is entertainment for the masses. It has animal adventure, "intriguing romance, virile comedy and thrill moments. A mystery yarn displaying screen, sleuthing at its cleverest is "Murder on a Bridle Path," latest case of Stuart Palmer's popular fictional detective team, Inspector Oscar Piper and Hildegarde Withers. Wi-thers. This picture comes to the Firmage theatre as the other feature fea-ture of the double show. James Gleason and Helen Broderick in the co-f eatured roles of this RKO Radio picture have their cunning and courage taxed to the utmost in investigating twin-murders that appear at first to be normal accidental acci-dental deaths. From such strange and slender evidence as, a BB shot in a horse's flank, the wrinkled corner of a bed sheet, a man's dream that he was a pendulum, does Miss Withers conclude that a lovely artist's model apparently trampled to death by a horse and a man seemingly dead of a stroke are actually victims of an artful killer. And those conclusions pitch the acute Miss Withers and her fast-talking, hard-boiled compa:;-; compa:;-; ion into adventures. The support-I support-I in;; cast include Louise Latimer, , Owen Davis jr., Leslie Fenton and oihers. Sunday and Monday If you like real entertainment with thrills, laughs, tears and action, ac-tion, then see "Small Town Girl," starring Janet Gaynor and Robert ; Taylor, at the Firmage theatre I Sunday and Monday. Both reach new heights in the stirring story about a modern run-away mar-' riage brought about by the rural girl's effort to escape the boredom ; of a small town that is snuffing out her life. Miss Gaynor's work as the small town girl is as outstanding out-standing as is Taylor's in the role of the young doctor who wakes up in his car to find that he is married and who takes his wife on a honeymoon honey-moon to avoid a scandal and then refuses to even speak to her. Tuesday and Wednesday The test pilots, unsung heroes of aviation, are .held up for well-deserving pats on the back and recognition of their valorous deeds in a film that is coming to the Firmage theatre Tuesday and Wednesday. It is Columbia's roaring roar-ing drama, "Devil's Squadron," and ' it stars the square-jawed Richard I Dix. Dick Grace, one of the world's foremost aviators, who has cpme into the limelight for his hazard-i hazard-i ous stunting and crashing.-, of ', planes for the movies, wrote the story. Test pilots do . not take planes up for a gentle, level ride and then land' easily. . It is necesr j sary for them to put the planes through the most difficult death-j death-j defying stunts tail spins, rolls, i rJbwer dives, etc. so that every part of the plane is tested to the j utmost. Featured with Dix are Karen Morley, Lloyd N.olan, Billy I Burrud, Shirley Ross and others. According to the story,'. Dix and i Nolan, two test pilots, fair in love with Miss Morley. Dix, because of an unjust stigma attached to his name and because he refuses to hurt Nolen, superintendent of the airport, who gave Dix his chance to make good again, is Unable to tell Miss Morley that he loves her. But close - association with death ! amid flaming planes and strained nerves, changes much, and the story goes on from its premise to 1 a dramatic climax.
