Show Field Man Confers ! With Red Cross i ' M. H. Mounts, special field representative rep-resentative of the American Red Cross, was in Milford Friday of last week for a conference with J. C. Smith, chairman, and other officers of the Milford chapter. Plans for the annual rollcall were discussed and it is the hope of Chairman Smith and others to raise as much as $200 before the drive ends on Armistice day. Miss Julia Hendrickson, Milford high school librarian, agreed to accept the chairmanship of the local Junior Red Cross committee. Miss Hendrickson plans to analyze ana-lyze the various activities of the junior group to determine which phases will best fit local needs and tie in with the school program. pro-gram. With the assistance of her committee members, D. C. Heslington, Hes-lington, principal, and George Mil- ! ler, teacher, in the elementary school, Miss Hendrickson hopes to develop some projects which will ( forward the aims of both the Red Cross and the community. Chair- 1 man Smith plans to propose the name of Miss Hendrickson as a member of the executive committee commit-tee at its next regular meeting, to be held during the first week of j November. I M |
