Show 'Twas Sincere Praise Builder Had for His Son McPherson started to build a small outhouse. He worked from the inside and, having the materials ma-terials close at hand, the walls were rising fast when dinner-time arrived, and with it his son Jock. With honest pride in his eye, McPherson looked at Jock over the wall and asked: "Hoo d'ye think I'm getting on?" "Famous, feyther, but hoo dae ye get out? Ye've forgot the door." One look showed McPherson that his son was right, but, looking kindly at him, he said: "Jock, you've got a grand heid on ye! Ye'll be an architect yet, as sure as your father's a builder." |
