Show Funeral Services Are Held Sunday For Jas. Mastros .Funeral servioes Vere h.eld in the L. D. S. chapel Sunday afternoon after-noon for James Mastros, 50, who died the preceding Thursday, the service being well! att)entled by local people and also from out-of-town, testifying to the high regara in which Mr. Mastros and his family are held. The services were directed by Bishop M. J. Christensen and the speakers were formier Bishop George H. Eyre and E. R. Moody: principal of the Milford high school. Musical numbers consisted of a vocal solo by Dan Ferguson a violin solo by Reese Griffiths and two numbers by a mixed chorus. chor-us. The opening prayer was offered offer-ed by Charles K. Jameson of Min-ersville, Min-ersville, the benediction by Leonard Leon-ard Ahlstrom, and Merrill Jameson of Minersville dedicated the grave in the local cemetery, where interment inter-ment took place. James Mastros was born October 26, 18S7, in Amphisa, Greece. He came to America in 1910 and in 1916 married Delilah Banks. He was section foreman for the Union Pacific for about 12 years but ot late years had been engaged in the trucking businss. In all his dealings deal-ings with the public and in the rearing of his family Mr. Mastros had been regarded as an cxemp-i lary citizen and the sympathy oil the entire community is extended j to the bereaved family in their j loss. I Surviving Mr. Mastros are hisj wife and the following children:' Mrs. Marilyn Thompson of Pioche Nevada; Joseph, a .graduate of the; Milford high school; Thomas, in-i coming president of the M. H. S.' student body; Violet Marie, Wal-' lace and Norma Helen; also Thorn- as, a cousin, who has been about the same as a brother to the deceased. de-ceased. ! , 1 |
