Show Mrs. I. R. Murdock sr. Observes 81st Birthday 'Mrs. Clara Murdock received the congratulations of her family and many friends March 10 on her 81st birthday. Many called throughout the day and found her gracious and interested as usual. In the evening the Pierian club, togeuher with invited guests, gathered for a covered dish supper. sup-per. The table was prepared for eight and was very attractive in the green and yellow of spring. The centerpiece was a large and very beautiful cluster of red tulips presented to Mrs. Murdock by those in attendance. The evening eve-ning passed in lively discussions discus-sions and many reminiscences of long past years. Mrs. Murdock is a general favtorite among her circle of friends and they were delighted to honor her with this small token of affection. Those present were Mrs. O. C. Koch, Mrs. D. A. Baxter, Mrs. Roy White sr., Mrs. L. G. Clay, Mrs. Vena Wilson and Mrs. Marie Fouts. A daughter cf Utah pioneers, Elizabeth Ada and Alfonso Farns-worth, Farns-worth, Mrs. Murdock was born in Beaver, and lived there until 1929. iShe pas married to Joseph R. Murdock in May 1880. He died a year ago. One son, Joseph It. Murdock jr., and his family are Milford residents, but three other slcns, S. L. Murdock of Sacramento, Sacra-mento, John C. Murdock of Ba-kersfield Ba-kersfield and Waldo F. Murdock of Sacramento, .make their homes in California. She has two sisters, Mrs. E. A. Hodges of Totcele and !TTrs. Hattie A. Christian of San Francisco. |
