Show Institute Features Opening of School The regular teachers institute for the Beaver county district was j held Tuesday, September 8 at , Bearer. A general session was 'held at 10 a.m. and departmental j work at 2 p.m. Miss Genevieve Romaiey 0f the Beaver home-making department served lunch to teachers and visitors. Superintendent Charles H. Skid-more Skid-more and Dr. Burton K. Farns-worth Farns-worth .of the State Department of Public Instruction were speakers at the morning session. Other speakers were Margaret Williams, elementary supervisor of the Granite School district, Rulon Maiming of the Utah Educational association, and Erma Bennett, supervisor of Beaver district. President J. F. Tolton offered the invocation and Albert J. Muir. vice-president of the board of education, edu-cation, welcomed the teachers to the district. Special musical numbers num-bers were given by J. Reed Moore and Carmen Roper. Miss Lulu Tolton was entertainment chair- man for the luncheon. Miss Williams and Dr. Farns-worth Farns-worth conducted departmental meetings at 2 p.m. Following these meetings Mr. Manning held a special meeting with Beaver county teachers. Officers for the coming year for the teachers were elected. Walter S. Joseph, principal of the Bel-krap Bel-krap school, was elected president ; Clarence J. Wendel, principal of the Milford elementary school, vice-president; and Lulu Tolton, secretary. Te.'.chers and school placements for the 1913-44 school year are: Milford High School Thatcher Handley, principal; J. M. Hughes. Zola Williams, Willard Esplin, C. E. Buchar.r.n, Sheiba Thomas, Veda Mortensen, Clcryr.th I.ar-sen, I.ar-sen, Leah Roberts, Ethell Paul. Milford Elementary School Clarence J. Werdel, principal; Mae Pek. Lor.a Mollis, Betty Kapple, Adeline Johnston, Vera Bond. Minersville School Sherman Carter, principal; Lorotta Myers, Freda Wood, Milton Aibrecht, Lillian Lil-lian McKnight, Bemicco Gillins. Mr. Buchanan, Milford high school music instructor, also will teach band work at Minersville. Beaver High School Horace H. Rose, principal; C.
