McQuarrie, who joined the group later and conducted the business busi-ness before the gathering, which was kept in a lively mood throughout. Grant H. Tolton, retiring Beaver member of the board of county commissioners, com-missioners, was first nominated for the position of director by Mr. Low but declined on account of the press of business affairs though he promised promis-ed to attend all the association meetings meet-ings possible, being fully convinced of the good work already done and to be done by the organization.
