To help farmers meet .current dif-famlties, dif-famlties, Leadership Week at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university will offer lectures by authorities on farm credits, farm taxes, and other phases of agricultural economics, according tn l)r. Lowry Nelson, chairman. The l'ilh annual Week will be held January Jan-uary 2'J to February 2. Joseph Anderson, president of the Slate Farm Bureau federation, will discuss "Farm Taxes." Professor W. P. Thomas, agricultural economist, econ-omist, L tah F.xperiment station, will deal with "Farm Credits." "The A. A. A. and the Farmer" will be the topic of Lyman Rich, county .-gricultuial atrent of L'tah county. John A. Malia, state banking commissioner, com-missioner, will speak on "Banking Problems and Reform" in the current cur-rent economic problems section. Other lectures in this department are of value to farmers. "The Recent Epidemic of Sleeping Sickness among Horses" will be ths topic of Dr. C. L. Jones, federal district dis-trict veterinarian and Professor H. Grant Ivins, B. Y. U. animal hua-bandman, hua-bandman, will discuss "Blooded Horses." E. O. Larsen, associate engineer of the Bureau of Reclamation, will speak on "The Deer Creek and L'tah Ijike Dyking Project." Besides the farm problems and current economic problems sections, there will be 25 other departments holding interest for both men and women. o |
