Show ILEWIS B. SALES I DIES SUDDENLY i Lewis B. Sales, 5, a native of I Kentucky and popular and valued ' employe of the Jefferson Mercantile i company, died suddenly Tuesday evening eve-ning at 11 o'clock at the home of his aunt, Mrs. D. A. Baxter, where he i made his home since coming to Mil-: Mil-: ford some four years ago. Though a ! young giant in size and strength, I Lewie had been forced to give up his ! work with the store, due to heart trouble, which was more recently complicated by jaundice, but no one i considered him as being critically ill ' and his sudden passing is a shock to l everybody who knew him. ' Mr. Sales was born in Lawrence-berg, Lawrence-berg, Kentucky, where he grew to i young manhood, coming to Milford in I 1929. He is survived by his parent, ! Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Sales of Law- renceberg and a brother, J. W. Sales, ; who lives in California. In accord-! accord-! ance with the wired wishes of his parents, the body is being prepared 'for shipment to Kentucky, where ; burial will take place, and it is un- likely that any funeral service will be held in Milford. Though a resident of Milford for i but a comparatively short time, i Lewie had gained for himself a host of friends in every walk of life and all will miss him keenly. He was an enthusiastic sportsman and an all-' all-' round good fellow. During the past : six months he had been instrumental in the apprehension of two different sets of would-be burglars who were J attempting to rob the Jeffersor ; store, and, unless it be for these fellows, fel-lows, all of whom are still doing time, Lewie was not known to have . an enemy. i o |
